How can ones emotions go from excitement to worry to stress in a single breath?

I will tell you. Earlier today I got my tickets for an upcoming Ray Lamontagne concert and I am so excited to go see him. I have only learned about his music for about a year, but in this year I have been moved by some of his songs.  Initially when I placed the order for the tickets, I had a friend in mind who I was talking to and going out on a few dates. We were going to go and it was going to be a great date. Unfortunately, we are not talking/dating anymore  so I am left out in the cold. I have no prospects to share this very fun and personal concert with. I flip through my phone book (really just scroll through my iphone) and can’t see anyone who excites me to invite out with me. I could find a “friend” to take but that just makes me a bit sad that I have zero prospects to take to this show.

If you were in my shoes what would you do? Place an ad in the classified? On craigslist? Ha … drastic times could call for drastic measures. It’s not like this is the kind of concert where a “man-date” would be appropriate. I am stuck and have 20 days to figure it out. I am on the clock!
